We cover remarkable people, places time forgot, everyday life in other eras, inventions, myths and mysteries — and every day, what happened on this day in history, with a Canadian twist.
Who we are
DoYou is published by OBOX Media & Audience Inc., an independent digital publisher based in Montreal, Canada. Our editorial team is listed on the Our Team page.
How we work
- Every story is written by a person and reviewed by an editor before publication.
- We rely on recognized reference sources (encyclopedias, archives, museums, official organizations and established media) and list them at the end of our stories.
- We separate established fact from legend, and we say so when historians disagree.
- Some stories are written with the help of AI tools. When that is the case, the story says so: “Created by humans, assisted by AI.”
- Some stories come from content partners whose work we acquire, including Humanitales. Partner writers are credited by name, and our editors select every story we publish.
- Our images come from public-domain and openly licensed collections or licensed libraries, and they are credited.
- When we make a mistake, we correct it as quickly as possible.
Our standards
We follow the ethical standards of the journalistic profession: the public interest, the search for truth without bias, independence from lobbying of any kind, rigor and fairness in gathering and presenting information, and respect for individuals and for the law.
